1. What inspired you to become a Content Creator / Influencer and how did you get started in the industry?
I’m inspired to create content by my passion for photography. Photography for me was really a hobby that slowly through time turned into a profession.
2. Can you walk us through a typical day in your life as a Content Creator / Influencer from start to finish?
My typical day would start around 7am, early in the morning preparing for a shoot. My shoot would start around 9am up to 12pm. Then I have my lunch break. My day job task would start around 1pm until 5pm then I would eat an early dinner after. 8pm until midnight will be allocated towards editing content.
3. Are you a Content Creator / Influencer full-time/part-time, or casually? And how do you manage your finances and what strategies have you found most effective?
I’m a part-timer. I have a day job as a social media manager. In regards to how I manage my finances my big piece of advice would be to save up and manage your time effectively.
4. What types of brand partnerships have you worked on in the past, and how do you decide which collaborations to take on as a Content Creator / Influencer?
I worked with camera brands, tech brands, fashion brands, hotels and resorts. I choose collaborations that are in line with my niche and I like the brand or place personally.
5. Can you share any tips for negotiating rates with brands, and how do you determine your own value as a Content Creator / Influencer?
First, I will send my rate card. Then from there we can negotiate depending on the deliverables that they are asking for.
6. How do you stay updated with industry trends and best practices as a Content Creator / Influencer, and what resources do you rely on for education and inspiration?
As a social media manager, as my day job. I have to be on social media all the time so I easily pick up what’s on trend and what’s new. For education and inspiration, I watch and follow other creators for inspo and ideas. As a creator, you need to always feed your creative side.
7. Have you faced any challenges or setbacks in your career as a Content Creator / Influencer, and how did you overcome them?
Yes, of course. These challenges and setbacks are the learnings for a creator to find what you truly love. Once you find what you really love, you will overcome all of them.
8. How do you achieve work-life balance as a Content Creator / Influencer, even when life throws unexpected challenges your way?
I usually do planning and scheduling. To be efficient, you have to be organized at all times in order to achieve work-life balance.
9. What advice would you give to aspiring Content Creator / Influencer who are starting out and looking to build a successful career in the industry?
Find your niche, follow your passion and just enjoy the journey!
10. How do you see the Content Creator / Influencer industry evolving in the next 5-10 years, and what changes do you anticipate?
I think the industry would evolve more considering there are more creatives and talents that are blooming. Technologies are always improving. Social media will always be part of the world and industry so I think it could potentially evolve into more career opportunities for people and I’m so excited to be part of it.
11. Can you share any upcoming projects or partnerships that you're excited about, and how do you plan to continue growing your brand as a Content Creator / Influencer?
I am currently focused on travel content, so I’m excited about my upcoming projects in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. To grow my brand, I’ll just continue on producing quality content and be as consistent as possible.
